This online training program is designed for anyone performing excavation, boring, blasting, tunneling, backfilling, activities within the City of Mesa’s utility service areas.
This training covers essential information about the various City utility systems, current City programs for locating and protecting existing utilities, and a review of hazardous conditions associated with buried utility lines, including natural gas, electric, water, sewer, telecommunications, etc. Additionally, it provides a forum for establishing lines of communication between City staff and contractors before work begins.
For those taking as part of the Capital Improvement Project contractual agreement, this class will fulfill the requirement and is good for 12 months, which includes any future projects with the City during that period.
Please note the following:
1. Employee names should match exactly on both the registration and the test to ensure faster processing and accurate record keeping.
2. After completing the test, the score will be displayed (a passing score is 12 or higher). Please allow up to a few days for the test to be processed in our system. Testers will not receive a certificate upon completion.
