This online training program is designed for anyone performing excavation, boring, blasting, tunneling, backfilling, and/or temporary traffic control activities within the City of Mesa’s utility service areas.
This training covers essential information about the various City utility systems, current City programs for locating and protecting existing utilities, and a review of hazardous conditions associated with buried utility lines, including natural gas, electric, water, sewer, telecommunications, etc. Additionally, it provides a forum for establishing lines of communication between City staff and contractors before work begins.
For those taking as part of the Capital Improvement Project contractual agreement, this class will fulfill the requirement and is good for 12 months, which includes any future projects with the City during that period.
